Tatters and Tapas

Morris dancing our way around the sunny Costa Blanca South,  bringing the spirit of English tradition to the plazas of Spain.

We are a group of dancers and musicians performing the ancient art of Morris dancing right here in the Vega Baja, Spain.  With our sticks, bells, tatter coats and lively music, we bring a unique splash of English heritage to local fiestas, cultural exchanges,  community gatherings and charity events.  We do not charge for our performances but are happy to accept charity donations where appropriate.  We really just love to dance!

Our Performances.

In Spain we find our home in the heart of the community.  You can find us dancing at:

• Fiestas and Ferias, bringing a different folk flavour to the local celebrations

• Plazas and town squares - performing for locals and visitors alike throughout the Costa Blance South.

• Cultural events - partnering with local folk groups and events organisers to celebrate shared traditions.

Whether you are new to the area or are a long-term local curious about international folk traditions, we would love to meet you and welcome you to our group.  Morris dancing is social, energetic, and a great way to stay active.

We meet to practice on Fridays between 16:00 and 18:00 in Playa Flamenca.  See our Join page for full details. 

No experience is necessary;  we will teach you everything you need to know.  All nationalities are welcome!
